Jordin Tootoo grew up in a small village along the Hudson Bay only a hundred miles from the Arctic Circle. The first Inuit to play professionally in the National Hockey League, Tootoo is close to his family and friends to nearly everyone in Rankins Inlet in Northeast Canada. During the off season, Jordin spends time fishing and hunting with his family. Like nearly everyone in Rankins Inlet, living off the land is a way of life.
