Los Angeles suffers a major emergency after fires broke out across the region.

A fire hydrant on Pacific Coast Highway near the easter edge of the Palisades fire is out of service. Firefighters encountered empty lines when battling the Pacific Palisades fire in the initial hours as demand exceeded supply. Los Angeles suffered a major firestorm fueled by powerful Santa Ana winds and dry conditions in January, 2025 with multiple fires burning throughout the region.
