Jordin Tootoo's father looks through memorabilia.

Jordin Tootoo grew up in a small village along the Hudson Bay only a hundred miles from the Arctic Circle. The first Inuit to play professionally in the National Hockey League, Tootoo is close to his family and friends to nearly everyone in Rankins Inlet in Northeast Canada. Jordin's older brother, a top hockey player in the region, committed suicide. The family keeps an empty bedroom as a shrine to the Tootoo brothers.
