Rogelio Flores, Mayor of Eagle Pass, Texas, has been criticized for not doing more to stop drug smugglers from crossing the border. Small border towns like Eagle Pass, lacking the federal funds of larger cities are under siege by undocumented immigrants trafficking drugs into the United States. " I'm uneasy myself and I'm trained for this. They're haulin ' drugs just down from my house, " the Eagle Pass Chief of Police told the New York Times.
