Impact Center:
Life at the Impact Center, a residence drug treatment facility. Courts are increasingly turning to such facilities as a viable alternative to jail for drug offenders. Kurt McVay, center, assigns daily jobs to the resident offenders. Impact uses former addicts to staff the facility. At right is Elsaid Nemais who was assigned to clean bathrooms.
