Mammoth Lakes and June Lake region in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The Eastern Sierra's towns of Mammoth Lakes, June Lakes and surrounding areas weathered a historical and record producing winter snowfall that carried over into the summer. Lakes were filled to capacity and beyond, streams and rivers flooded campgrounds, snow covered shorelines and roads were closed even into July.
