More than 200 stumbling stones are in Rome. The stones mark the place a Holocaust victim had lived before being forcefully removed.
Referred to as stolpersteine, or “stumbling stones,” these bronze plaques are embedded in the streets of Italy to commemorate the place where Holocaust victims were taken from their homes.
