Los Angeles suffers a major emergency after fires broke out across the region.
Hand crews, also known as Hot Shots, work a ridge line to stamp out flames at the Kenneth Fire during the firestorm that engulfed Los Angeles. Although a massive aerial assault was evident, hand crews are tasked with the hard work of putting out fires with axes, shovels and chain saws.
