US 395 is a main highway connecting Northern California with Southern California along the Eastern Sierras. The southern end begins in the Mojave Desert and extends all the way to Canada. The primary destination for many travelers from Southern California is the region around Mammoth Lakes where the outdoor lifestyle dictates life.
It's a slice of Americana along what is also known as the Blue Star Memorial Highway in honor of the United States Armed Services. Ironically, the highway is also home to the Manzanar War Relocation Camp where Japanese Americans were interred during World War II.
