Three time world champion boxer Abner Mares

Abner Mares grew up fighting on the streets of gang infested Hawaiian Gardens. Small but fierce, Mares developed a reputation as a brawler which led to trouble. He changed his life after being signed by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions and has risen to two time Bantamweight champion. He remains true to his neighborhood, though he now provides a nice home for his wife and children through his significant earnings as a professional boxer.
