Crowds gather to shop at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan

Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II, an upscale shopping mall built in the 19th century and adjacent to the Duomo, is covered in steel and glass, bestowed with ornate marble flooring and a massive dome. Tourists are drawn to a mosaic of a bull under the dome where, legend has it, if you spin on a heel on the bull’s private parts, you will have good luck.
