The owner of a Los Angeles tattoo studio, listed by the city as a non-essential business, was working in the dark behind closed doors on May 5 in violation of the city’s Safer At Home ordert issued over six weeks earlier on March 19. His income was down 50% and he said he’d be in terrible shape if he stopped working and would have to try to sell artwork instead. He said he applied for the PPP money but never received anything.
