Documenting the U.S./Mexico Border began in 1994 when the Clinton Administration launched Operation Gatekeeper to shut down the US/Mexico border in San Diego. I've been assigned to shoot in border towns from Texas to Tijuana, as well as throughout the country, for TIME, NY Times Magazine, Newsweek, People, Der Spiegel, Focus, Washington Post and others.
The work has been published extensively and exhibited several times overseas. Fourteen images reside in the permanent collection at the California Museum of Photography. I continue to document immigration issues for editorial and non-profit clients..
My Work is Registered With The US Copyright Office. Please Observe Professional Courtesy and The Copyright Law and Obtain a License for Use if Needed. Infringement is a Serious Issue and I Employ All Efforts to Protect My Work. Thank You!
