Mammoth Lakes and June Lake region in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The Eastern Sierra's towns of Mammoth Lakes, June Lakes and surrounding areas weathered a historical and record producing winter snowfall that carried over into the summer. As a result, Mammoth Creek was overflowing and colors usually associated with Spring or Fall were evident in late June as the Sierras sent cold water through the creek.
